CHOLERA OUTBREAK IN THE SOUTHWEST REGION: The Regional Delegation of Camwater,South West Region,informs the public that,water produced and distributed by Camwater respect standard prescriped to Cameroon by the World Health Organisation (WHO).
Reiterate that most of the areas seriously affected as stated by the regional delegation of Public Health are not covered by Camwater network and areas covered are interwined by other water networks such as community schemes like in Limbe, Buea ,Tiko etc.
To better fight against this pandemic,following two meetings presided over by His Excellency ,the Governor of the South West region,Camwater was instructed to start with the distribution of water in those affected areas specifically ,Buea and Limbe .
The regional delegation of Camwater is therefore,assuring the population that water produced and distributed is potable,contrary to rumours on circulation.
Possible prevention against Cholera and preliminary treatment:
1,Wash your hands regularly with soap and clean water
2,Boil water 1 litre of water
3,Put six cubes of water inside
4,Half tea spoon of salt
5,Mix it throughly until it disolves
Then drink frequently while rushing to any nearby health centre…
